CP Records & Management Artists Celebrate Seven Nominations At The 2012 Canadian Radio Music Awards
Toronto, ON – CP Records & Management is thrilled to announce seven Canadian Radio Music Award (CRMA) nominations for their roster. The nominees were announced on January 11 in Toronto and include Alyssa Reid, Mia Martina and JRDN.
“We are overwhelmed at the accomplishments of Alyssa Reid, Mia Martina and JRDN this past year,” says Manny Dion, Head of Management at CP Records & Management. “These nominations kick off a tremendous start to 2012 for us and we look forward to our artists’ future successes.”
Platinum selling songstress Alyssa Reid takes the lead this year with a total of five nominations, receiving a nod for the SOCAN Song of the Year and nominations in the CHR, Hot AC and Mainstream AC categories for her single “Alone Again.” Reid is also a contender for the 2012 Fans’ Choice Award. Additionally, she will be performing at the CRMAs alongside fellow nominees Dragonette, Fefe Dobson, Kira Isabella, Neverest, Raghav and The Sheepdogs.
Mia Martina receives a nomination in the category of Dance/Urban/Rythmic for her Gold selling second single “Latin Moon.” The 2011 JUNO Award nominee caught the attention of the music industry and fans alike for her first single “Stereo Love” off her debut album Devotion. The single achieved Platinum status, reaching #10 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
Also up for Fans’ Choice Award is R&B/hip-hop artist JRDN for his 2011 single, “Like Magic,” which reached #24 on the Canadian Hot 100 with its music video topping the MuchMusic Countdown. JRDN has previously won the CRMA Dance/Urban/Rythmic Award in 2011.
Hosted by radio personality Jay “Mad Dog” Michaels, the CRMA Award’s will take place on Friday, March 23 at a gala luncheon at the Fairmount Royal York Hotel in Toronto, ON.
