Humans (Video) “Horizon”

Vancouver, BC – June 20, 2012 – It’s been an exciting year thus far for Vancouver duo, Humans. Since the release of their EP, Traps, on Hybridity/Outside Music, Humans have been climbing the campus radio charts; remaining at # 1 for a second week on the Earshot Electronic Charts and hitting #5 on the CMJ charts. The people have spoken – and they want more Humans!

It’s opportune, then, to announce that Humans have also recently signed with TAG / EDM – the Agency’s Group prestigious electronic dance music roster. Representing hot acts such as Austra, Bloc Party, Diamond Rings, Nautiluss and Purity Ring – Humans will join the group and begin a North American tour with Young Empires this summer.

Adding to their already electrifying stage shows, Humans continue to up the ante with their cinematic offerings with the release of their new video “Horizons” – which Spinner premiered in North America earlier this week.

Says Peter Ricq on the making of the video; “I came up with the story and thought it would be easy to produce as long as I can find the actors for the piece. One year later, on another HUMANS set, I saw this mature couple and pitched them the concept to which they replied, “Ooooh, sounds lovely”. Caleb, the actor, was willing to do everything we needed. “Hey Caleb, is it ok if we throw dirt in your face?” “Oh, YES”. “Hey Caleb, can you fall into this 5 feet deep hole after your wife knocks you on the back of the head with a shovel” “I’d love to”. They were both great sports about the whole thing. I couldn’t ask for anyone more willing. It was a pleasure to work with both of them.”
