Jack White – Blunderbuss

5/5
With the White Stripes disbanding in 2011, it is no doubt that Jack White would do more with his music talents. Jack has been in multiple bands such as White Stripes, Racontours, Dead Weather and many previous to White Stripes. Jack is also a producer for many bands; my personal favourite is The Black Belles.
However, what is the talented being we know as Jack White doing now?
In April, Jack released his solo album Blunderbuss, a very unique album that screams Jack White. You can tell right away in the use of instruments that this album has White’s signature on it, the songs are very catchy in tune and Jack’s vocals are phenomenal. This album can be listened to any time of day, because it has set all different type of moods. This album has a very psychedelic feeling to it, you can hear Jack’s influences and past works brought into his sound; but that’s how you know it is Jack White. I prefer to listen to it when traveling or just when I want feel good music, it has a soothing but edgy feeling. You get fast tempo songs such as “Sixteen Saltines” and “Freedom at 21,” then you get a mellower tempo with songs “Love Interruption” and “I Guess I Should Go to Sleep.” No matter what song on Blunderbuss, you can hear the rock/blues/Jack White sound, which makes this album phenomenal.
If you haven’t given this album a listen, I recommend you do. This album is nothing but perfect in my opinion, I didn’t hit the next button for any of the songs; and I hope most of you will enjoy it as much as I did.
